“I’ll Show You Simple, Evidence-Based Strategies That Help Students Manage Their Thoughts and Emotions — Before They Spiral.”
As teachers, we see it every day.
The student who breaks down over a simple mistake.
The one who seems angry all the time, but we know it’s something deeper.
The quiet child who never raises their hand — even when we know they know the answer.
We do what we can. But between curriculum, admin, and behaviour support, it can feel like there’s just no room to teach the emotional skills our students clearly need.
That’s why we created this.
LLG Members is a resource that helps children manage emotions, build resilience, and strengthen self-worth — in just 10 minutes a day.
It’s teacher-led, curriculum-aligned, and designed to be flexible enough for busy classrooms. You don’t need to be an expert in mental health. You just need a starting point.
The Thought Catch

A lesson for children aged 6-11 years old
This lesson helps students notice unhelpful thoughts before they take over.
We teach them how to pause, name the thought (e.g. “I’m not good at this”), and gently challenge it. It’s simple, practical, and gives kids a way to take back control — especially in those moments when emotions run high.
Your student can go from feeling anxious, overwhelmed and unsure how to manage their BIG feelings to feeling calm, capable and confident.

👀 A Quick Look Inside Mind Ninja 2
Negative thoughts often creep in at the end of the day — just as things start to quiet down.
This short lesson gives students a simple way to unpack those thoughts and reset before the next day.
You’ll see one practical tool that helps students recognise negative thought patterns and shift them in a calm, reflective way — something I’ve found especially helpful during afternoon transitions or end-of-day routines.
“The emotional brain responds to an event more quickly that the thinking brain” – Daniel Goleman
“The Science Behind Their Anxiety And Unhelpful Thoughts & Emotions And Give Them The Tools To Increase Their Confidence And Emotional Strength”
This course gives students a clear understanding of what’s happening in their brain and body when they feel overwhelmed — and more importantly, what they can do about it.
With short, relatable lessons, students learn how to manage stress responses, recognise thought patterns, and apply practical tools to feel more in control.
Designed for Years 6–12, it’s a flexible resource that supports emotional regulation, self-awareness, and confidence — all within a classroom-friendly format.

Joelene Lavrick
I have a passion for emotional fitness and social skills. I have always wanted children to be kind to each other and to have confidence in themselves. I understand that children make mistakes and, at times, they need to learn how to be kind to others. I am patient with kids and I believe we must show unconditional respect and forgiveness.
