This Professional Learning Workshop will equip Primary Educators and Chaplains with the skills and knowledge to assist students with a range of highly effective strategies for managing thoughts and emotions. The registration price includes a 3 month single classroom licence for the online course from Life Lessons Australia, entitled, Mind Ninja. Mind Ninja is an online educational program which teaches children each of the techniques presented.
Presenter Bio:
Joelene Lavrick has a B.A in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Education and has 20 years experience as a Primary School teacher in WA. Her work at Life Lessons Australia was recently featured on GWN7 News and reached the Semi-Finals in the Curtin University, School of Education, Teaching Excellence category of the Regional Achievement and Community Awards in October 2019. Joelene has been travelling the country delivering her unique program and has held over 110 workshops for children, educators, parents, psychologists, foster carers and allied health professionals combined. Joelene was honoured to present at the Future Possibilities Conference and is proud of the effectiveness of her program for, not only neurotypical children, but also for verbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
