Let’s be real – it can be sooo hard making friends when it doesn’t come naturally to you.
At university, I often sat alone unless someone specifically invited me in. I wasn’t unfriendly — I just didn’t know how to join in or assume I belonged.
What I know now is this: making friends isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about learning simple skills most of us were never taught.
Once I learned those skills, everything changed. I no longer struggle to make friends wherever I go. I assume people will like me – because what’s the alternative?
That’s the same mindset and skill set I teach kids. So they don’t wait, shrink, or hope someone chooses them – they know how to connect while still being themselves.
